Our History

Camden Crossroads Community Church was born out of a desire to make a difference in the community.

The church began in June 2007 when several couples joined together in prayer seeking the Lord’s will for their lives. As additional families joined the prayer group, it became obvious that the Lord was doing something collectively in their hearts. A home Bible study was formed to meet the desires of the people to grow in the Lord, first meeting on July 12, 2007.

As the Bible study grew, additional space was needed to accommodate the adults and children. It was decided to pursue a venue that could handle everyone in one room. The Camden County Library conference room was booked to hold worship services outside of a home and met on August 5, 2007. The Holiday Inn Express in Kingsland would be used for the following five weeks.

The group of people decided to become a church in August and began to look at various properties in Kingsland to accommodate the church on a more permanent basis. It was decided to rent a building and renovate it to meet the needs of the church.

The first church workday was held on September 8, 2007 to get the building semi-habitable. Church services were held on the 9th in a building that had concrete floors, holes in the wall, a nearly unusable bathroom, and no air conditioning. The Lord miraculously provided the funds and skills for the building renovation that was completed in about three months.

Camden Crossroads continues to meet in this building located on Haddock Road.
