It’s easy. We do it every day. It’s called walking. On Saturday March 3, 2012, C4 is partnering with Carenet in the annual Walk for Life. This walk raises awareness and money to support our local Carenet Crisis Pregnancy Center. Our center has trained, caring volunteers to help in decision making, post-abortion counseling, discipleship, and myriad of other services. Most importantly, they’re there to provide you the help you need.

Registration on March 3rd begins at 8:30 am with the walk beginning at 9:00 am.

On Sunday January 29th, we’ll be showing the movie Courageous beginning at 6:00 pm. Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood. Snacks will be available for purchase during the movie.

On Sunday, February 12th at 3:00 pm, we are partnering with the Faith in Action team in Kingsland to provide a meal to people in need and hungry. We need everyone to participate in one way or another. We need people to prepare and serve the meal. There is also a need for set up and tear down. The meal is served at Steffen’s restaurant on Highway 17 in Kingsland.

We’ve all heard the story. “Jonah, arise, go to Nineveh.” So why didn’t Jonah go? What was it about this mission that had the prophet run headlong into rebellion? Was this Jonah’s purpose? What would we do if God gave us a clear mission? Would we respond like Jonah?

Put aside what you think you may know about Jonah. This tiny little book has a big message and it’s more than simple rebellion. Are there lessons than can be applied for us today? Is there a parallel in the world today? We’ll look into these questions in our upcoming winter sermon series into the life and mission of the prophet Jonah. It will be an eye opener!
